Day 120: Math Games & Field Trips

Here is another learning activity from UniversalPreschool.com’s “How To” pages developed by Diane Flynn Keith.

Remember, only do these learning activities if they are enjoyable for you and your child. Do not treat this as a “must do” lesson. It’s simply a fun activity that provides an opportunity to learn, while building “readiness skills” for school or homeschool success.

  1. Play Math Games. Here are some fun ones.
  2. Go on a Field Trip. Many of your local community services and stores offer tours such as the fire department, police department, grocery store, bank, hardware store, post office, bus and train stations, museums, zoos, state parks, etc.  Even large chain stores offer opportunities to see how things are made such as Krispy Kreme donuts and Noah’s Bagels.
