An interesting fact that is seldom mentioned is that a child who is allowed to be dependent on a parent for a long time tends to be more independent as they grow older. While I am not able to remember the source of this bit of wisdom I do know that was the case with our daughters. I still have stretch marks on my legs from the "cling-on" experience with my children. Both become very independent and respectful teens and adults as a result.
There is a disturbing trend by the public educational system is to separate the child from the family as early as possible. It is no wonder that we have a society that is experiencing such challenges with our teen population.

I have such fond memories of playing with my son when he was just an small boy of 3 or 4. Our local appliance center always had a friendly smile and a huge box for us.

We would bring home a new appliance box every couple of weeks. We would cut out windows and doors, then we would use all sorts of things to decorate it. Markers were of course a favorite tool but we also would glue on fabric for curtains, stickers, crayons, paint and just about anything else we could imagine.

We spent hours of fun filled hours playing with our boxes. On occasion my son was even know to fall asleep in one. :) Thanks for reviving the memories

I can't think of anything worse than the government trying to get kids ready for the workforce. What's next? Civics classes in an attempt to ingrain some pride in our country and encourage political participation by the masses? The gall of the Preschoonazis is amazing

My stomach was in knots last night watching those vulnerable babies thrust into traumatic circumstances for "entertainment". How could a television network stoop so low as to put these youngest of children at risk for emotional damage? What action can be taken to stop this outrageous abuse?

I caught the last 10 minutes of the show last night and found I would not have been able to watch much more then that.
How can parents do this to their children?!
The children were clearly distressed.
There has got to be a better way to get the message across.

I had to pick my jaw up off the floor after seeing the promo for this show a couple of weeks ago. I am glad that others are noticing and expressing their outrage.

I can't believe that subjecting an infant or young child to this type of experience doesn't fall within the scope of child abuse or neglect. The emotional damage this may inflict is enormous.

I am additionally frustrated that this new round of "sex ed" is consisting of "let us tell you how awful parenting is". I love my children and I love being a parent. However all around me I see parents who are conditioned to view children and their needs as simply annoyances to be quashed. What do we expect when this is the introduction most teens get to parenthood.
