In order to help your child recognize primary colors and learn the names such as red, yellow, blue, green, white, and black – talk about colors everyday. For example, talk about the colors in the clothes your child wears. “I really like that blue shirt you’re wearing.” Use colors to describe everyday things for example: “Our car is green.” “Look at that beautiful yellow flower!” “Daddy’s hair is brown.”
