Introducing your child to shapes helps them to understand their world better. Think about all of the interesting things you can make with triangles cut from construction paper. For example: two triangles make a square or diamond or rectangle, six triangles make a hexagon, three triangles make a trapezoid, which is half a hexagon. Encourage your child to explore and create new shapes with the triangles. Give your child different-sized triangles and ask them to create pictures too.
